 Hi. My name is Michael Sommerville. I am a National and International Award-Winning Musician, Producer, Educator, and Music Publisher. I studied for my Bachelor of Music at McGill University in Performance with Concentrations in Composition and Computer Programming for Musical Applications. I offer beginner to advanced lessons in Classical and Popular Piano, Jazz Saxophones, Music Theory/Musicianship/Ear-Training, along with Acoustic and Rock Guitar. I also offer One-on-One expert instruction in Music Production, using popular Digital Audio Workstations such as Garage Band, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and MASCHINE. Topics covered include Audio/MIDI Recording , Editing, Sound Design through various Analog and Software Synthesizers, VST Plug-Ins, Project Mixing, and Mastering. Beginners welcome.





    Piano and Saxophone Students are welcome to train for their Royal Conservatory of Music Practical Examinations, and all Students are welcome to train for their RCM exams in Music Theory and History. Students not wishing to go the RCM route are just as welcome: in my experience,  Students often have the best results when they are having fun and learning the music they love.
